Fluconazole is used in the treatment of various infections caused by Candida, including candidemia and disseminated candidiasis, oropharyngeal candidiasis, esophageal candidiasis, and vulvovaginal candidiasis. Fluconazole also is used for the treatment of cryptococcal meningitis and for the treatment of blastomycosis, coccidioidomycosis, and histoplasmosis. |
Concurrent QT-prolonging drugs that are metabolized via the enzyme CYP3A4 cisapride, erythromycin, pimozide, and quinidine. Use extreme caution or avoid in congenital long-QT patients and patients with conditions that increase QT-prolongation risk. |
An antifungal action is conditioned by the influence of Diflucan to the protein molecules RNA of fungi. |
